Greetings, hope you are fine, we want to take this special moment to appreciate all of you for the support and help you have extended to our children in the past and mostly this year 2015 when it started.
The children at GOHECHI are doing well, in their health as well as their academic developments and progress. We remember all of you, and we value every donation, because it meant a lot to the children in various ways, like feeding, educational materials, animal keeping projects, medical care, and the main one is land.

Sad News;
Few weeks one of our girl, Named Asinath was raped by a guardian, she had to be taken to the hospital, and as i share with you this information, Asinath is fine, but the matter is with the police, and the court, with the man responsible. It was an awful act, and this event, made me to take Asinath to stay into the orphanage plus all the other children who were staying with either old parents, or guardians who were not really taking close care and protection of their children, especially when they consider that these children are not their biological children.
For those who don’t know, in Africa there is lots of mistreating of children, punishments, in homes and schools, few people are there to stand for the rights of the children. I found out that, even the lawyers here who knows children’s rights more, and who could stand to help them in legal matters, are not there to stand for children, just because they will not make money with such cases, in such situation i feel so bad where the poor people suffer in every angle in their lives.
Once, Mahatma Gandhi: The leader of Indian Independence Movement “said” Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.
Saving Lives;
in 2005, i and over 50 young people who are also supported by GOHECHI, marched over 75 Km from Moshi to Arusha, on foot with a message of peace, children and women rights, the protection and support to old persons, and the main reason was to send a message about the killing of Albino people in Tanzania which was too much at that time. Even though there are still some few incidences, which we here, still GOHECHI and its partners, and supporters will stand to save lives, inform people so that all groups that are in fear of their lives being taken can be free in their own country.
This year we faced many challenges, the major ones was to be given short notice twice in rented building. In these situation we trusted God and to encourage the children that some days we shall have our own home and school where no one will be able to take us out, when either the owners finds someone to pay more money, or when they sell their property.
We have been working hard to find a place where we can make a long time contract until we build our own home and school for the children in land which some of you have contributed, and the progress is good.
And the coming rain reason we shall have to plant crops, we have started putting manure in the land.

Good News;
We have finally found a building where children are staying, with enough rooms for classes and every necessary item.
Though the building is still a rented one, we made a contract for over five years which we believe we will be having our own school, homes for children. This has been done with a help from local government so that we do not disturb children any more.

The building is very close to the land, it is a matter of walking, and we have electricity within the building, water tanks, bathrooms and toilets, ground to play, the entire compound is surrounded by high walls, which am so pleased for the security of the children and everyone working with GOHECHI, and all of us are very happy, and the children are more happy, we thank you all for the support.
We also managed to make new uniform for children, only some new kids remaining, we thank you so much for those helped to support our children new school uniforms.
No more tented classes, no more dark and candle usage in rooms, children are able to read at night, we now contact debate in their hall, and discuss lots of things, as well as to pray together in the main hall.
We want the children to start learning practical skills in the field/land as you may remember i took a course on parmerculture few months ago. This will be an important moment to put into use all the skills and knowledge i got.

While we are waiting and preparing for the rain; we have started small garden, as well as adding more animal where children can get involved as part of learning, yet preparing them for their future, not to depend on others but to use their skills to run their own lives.
Find photos and its explanation below or above this new, we love you and thank you again for supporting GOHECHI children and its vision to change and save lives by educating and caring for the orphans, children from poor families.
I feel good to see children smiling, full of joy and hope for their future lives, i believe education we provide for them will give opportunity as they grow to become better citizens.
Am determined to see GOHECHI create future leaders, developed to influence others in return. We are now working so hard to make sure few months to come we produce enough food for children, and more of to sell, so that we are sustained through within our the organization.
Food security, clean water, health centres, and educational programs is a challenge in many villages, GOHECHI vision is to reduce if not to finish these challenges.

I have read the new about 193 world leaders, committed to 17 sustainable development Goals to inspire extraordinary, lasting impact in three areas.
1. Transforming poverty into independence.
2. Fighting inequality & creating opportunity.
3. Fixing climate change.

When i hear such goals am so happy, but the only challenge remain, when will these leaders go physically to see, and walk into these areas where people are affected? Two years ago, i visited a remote village where children were becoming blind to to lack of water to wash their faces, i asked myself, even if it were you and me, what could you do first if you find water, after seven days without it, you have to drink, to cut the long time thirsty, washing your face will be next, and when you think about it, there is no more water.
I remember hiring a water tank truck, and i took water in that village, it was a great joy!
So sitting to talk about some challenges of the world is one thing, but having peopled to get involved into the real situation, is another thing, such people are few in the world. At GOHECHI, we need to be problems solver, and solutions creators with the help of others.
May God open your eyes to see the needy, in our world today, and keep on helping whenever it is in your power to do so.

God bless you indeed,
Hope to share more soon,
Please find pictures of our children and other events.
Finally i call upon all of you, to pray for us and the children, but also if you are willing to come and volunteer with us we will be more than ready to have you at GOHECHI.
